DONALD MACNAMARA

1947 - 2002

Donald MacNamara of Taber, beloved husband of Bea MacNamara, passed away in Calgary on Tuesday, January 22, 2002 at the age of 55 years.
Donald was born in Port Hawksbury, Nova Scotia on January 18, 1947 the son of William and Annie MacNamara. He met and later married Bea Silver on May 20, 1972 at Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Together they moved to Taber where they made their home. For the past seventeen years Don had been employed with Hostess. Don will be remembered by his family and friends as an avid fisherman. Along with his fishing buddies, he liked to spend time at his favorite fishing hole relaxing and catching fish.
Besides his wife Bea, Don will be forever cherished in the hearts of his children and grandchildren, Andy (Pat) and their children Steven, Devin and John; Lisa (Daniel) Doell and their children Beckie and Colin; Jim and his daughter Montana and Paige and Brodey Meier. He will also be cherished by his brother Martin (Caroliene); a special brother-in-law Frank Davison and a special sister-in-law Mary Smith; a nephew Bill (Pam) MacNamara; Bea’s family, sisters-in-law Sue Spinney and Jo Conrad and their families; brothers-in-law Everett Silver, Marshall Silver, Russell Silver and Lawrence Silver and their families; father-in-law Everett Silver Sr. as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Don was predeceased by his parents Bill and Annie MacNamara;
a brother Larry; his mother-in-law Laura Silver and a brother-in-law Dave Tjostheim.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, January 27, 2002 from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, January 28, 2002 at 10:30 A.M. with Deacon Mike Whalen officiating. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
