PAUL WURTZ

1932 - 2002

Paul Samuel Wurtz of Taber, peacefully passed away with his daughters at his side at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital on Thursday, October 3, 2002 at the age of 70 years.
Paul was born in Magrath on April 12, 1932. Throughout his years he was employed with Rogers Sugar and spent time working in the oil industry. Paul’s last employment was with the M.D. of Taber and retired from there in 1996. In his leisure and retirement Paul liked to spend time going camping, boating, fishing and his family. Paul was also a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 20.
Paul is survived by his children Gerry (Diane) and their children Matthew and Megan of Taber; Janet (Marty) Fekete and their children Karissa, Blair and Chad of Lethbridge and Julia Wurtz and her son Andrew of Taber; his brothers and sisters, Joseph (Annie) Wurtz, Ben (Susie) Wurtz, Jacob (Susanna) Wurtz, Rachel (Dave) Decker and Lydia (Paul) Gross.
Paul was predeceased by five sisters, Mary, Joan, Barbara, Rebecca and Elizabeth.
The Funeral Service was held at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, October 7, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Jim Lochhead officiating. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
