Louis was born October 16, 1915 in Taber, Alberta to Milton William Conrad and Josephine Evans VanDam Conrad, the fifth of seven children.  His early years were spent on the family farm and ranch learning to work hard.  He married his sweetheart Ethis on March 27, 1937 in the Cardston, Alberta L.D.S. Temple.  He served in the Canadian Armed Forces during the second world war, first moving Mom and four little girls to Taber into two small rooms of the Charles Edwards’ home.  Following the war, he decided that he enjoyed mechanical work more than agriculture and became a heavy duty mechanic.  Mom and Dad lived in many communities, as Dad’s work required, including Taber, Magrath, High River and Calgary in Alberta, and Lilloet, Gibson’s and Riondel in British Columbia, where they left many loyal friends behind in each community as they served the church and their fellow men.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church prior to the funeral service on Saturday, December 9, 2006 from 12:45 P.M. to 1:40 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of  Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. with Bishop Mark Baldry conducting. Interment to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
