ERMON HILL

1909 - 2002

Ermon Hill, beloved wife of the late Burdett Hill, passed away in Medicine Hat on Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at the age of 93 years.
Ermon was born in Elsinore, Utah on December 6, 1909, the daughter of Christian Lee and Beatrice Young. She came to Canada with her parents and began her schooling in Wrentham. In 1923 she moved to Taber with her family. On September 9, 1926 she married Burdett Hill They made Purple Springs their home until moving to Taber in 1940. Ermon was a long time employee of the Taber General Hospital. For the past six years she had been a resident of Valley View Lodge in Medicine Hat.
Ermon will be missed by her children Mildred (Hugh) Jacobs of Linden, Utah, Joyce (Russell) Montalbetti of Blairmore, Alberta, Sandra (Noel) Pilling of Mountain View, Alberta, Leo (Marie) Hill of Medicine Hat, Jim (June) Hill of Edmonton and Ron (Janet) Hill of Taber; a sister, Christie Coombs of Califonia; twenty six grandchildren, ninety eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Burdett in 1980; daughter, Karyle Gardner; three sons, Gordon, Milo and Thomas and four sisters, Hope, Dora, Beatrice and Denise.
The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, December 14, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. with Bishop Ray Gardner officiating. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
