PETER TURIN

1950 - 2001

Peter Turin, beloved husband of Debbie Turin of Taber, passed away in Taber on Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at the age of 50 years.
Peter was born the son of Dennis and Barbara Turin on July 21, 1950 in Taber where he grew up and attended school to grade twelve. He was a carpenter and contractor by Trade and was able to tackle any job. Peter volunteered as a driver for the firemen and ambulance and in his spare time enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and playing darts at the Legion. Over the years he played hockey and was involved in various other sports.
Besides his loving wife Debbie, he will be sadly missed by his mother Barbara Turin; daughter Michelle Lawlor and her sons Riley and Joshua; son Jason Turin and his children Ashton and Avery; the mother of Pete’s children Shirley Jensen; sister Margaret (Don) Ackrill and their children Gregory and Andrea; Debbie’s children Cory Sabeski and Jennifer Sabeski; mother-in-law Violet Reinheimer and Debbie’s sisters Dorothy (Wilfred), Donna (Dwayne), Daphne, Darlene (Bing), Delaine (Owen), Donalda, Danean (Kelly) and also by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Dennis and his grandparents.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, February 2, 2001 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, February 3, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Jim Lochhead officiating. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
