VICTOR KAIN

1910 - 2001

Vittorio “Victor” Kain, beloved husband of the late Stefania Kain, passed away in Lethbridge on Tuesday, March 27, 2001 at the age of 90 years.
Victor was born at Buzet, Yugoslavia on September 18, 1910 the son of Antonio and Caterina Cain. In 1951 he emigrated to Canada with his wife Stefania and four sons. Victor worked on the C.P.R. for many years until his retirement. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and visiting with friends.
Besides his wife Stefania, he was predeceased by two sons, Zorko and Luciano; brother Giovanni and sisters Maria and Pina.
Victor is survived by his sons Elio (Joan) of Lethbridge, Darko (Renata) of Houston, Texas and Marino; grandchildren, Randal Kain, Kelly Kain, Perry Kain, Valerie Kostersky, Lars Kain, Marcy Kain-Lynch and Ryan Kain; three great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends were invited for Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, March 30, 2001 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, March 31, 2001 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Jim de los Angeles Celebrant. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
