JEAN MULNER

1921 - 2001

Jean Middleton Mulner, beloved wife of Henry Mulner of Taber, passed away in Taber on Saturday, April 14, 2001 at the age of 80 years.
Jean was born on January 31, 1921 in Lethbridge, the daughter of David and Annie Kinniburgh. Jean attended the one room Kinniburgh School before finishing her grade twelve education in Taber. Jean and Henry were married in Taber on April 17, 1940. Jean had passed away just three days before celebrating their sixty first anniversary. She belonged to the Kinniburgh Womens Institute carrying on her family’s legacy. Jean will be remembered for her exceptional cooking and baking that she made for her family. Besides cooking she also enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and growing gladiolus in her garden. Jean will be sadly missed but always kept close to the hearts of her family.
Besides her husband Henry, she is survived by her children, a son David (Jane) Mulner of Purple Springs and their family Darren, Kelly and Alex Ann; a daughter Shirley (Frank) Doram of Coaldale and their family Todd, Carey (Pierre) and Stacey (Mike) - Chantelle, Taeler, Cole and Bailey; a daughter Patti (Mel) Peterson of Taber and their family Brett and Jenna; her brothers and sisters Agnes Appleton, Margaret (Bill) Bellman, David (Vivian) Kinniburgh, Catherine (Rex) Brown and Jim (Gerri) Rutherford as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Jean was predeceased by her parents David and Annie Kinniburgh; a brother Joe (Nellie) Kinniburgh and a brother-in-law Albert Appleton.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, April 19, 2001 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Friday, April 20, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Yvonne Mills officiating. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
