1918 - 2001

John Wesley “Bud” Fallon, beloved husband of Helen Fallon of Taber, passed away in Taber on Thursday, April 19, 2001 at the age of 82 years.
Bud was born on June 21, 1918 in Taber the son of John Wesley Fallon and Elva Dell Fallon (Layton). He received his schooling in Taber and remained in the area. Bud farmed just north of town raising milk cows, horses, pigs and chickens. He also worked with Alberta Coal, the Taber Sugar Factory and for many years was a Fertilizer Agent. His passions were horses, dancing, jig-saw puzzles and life itself which he lived to the fullest. He married Helen Pickett on new years day, January 1, 1941 and raised twelve children, Wesley Fallon, Linda (Henry) Derksen, Rod (Mary) Fallon, Bill Fallon, Anita (Dick) deVries, Allyson (Lance) Morris, Jerraldine Fallon, Phyllis (John) Andres, Cindee (Hanley) Volden, Alan Fallon, Kelly Fallon and Jan Fallon; eighteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerald (Mae) Fallon and Lynn (Beryl) Layton; two sisters, Virginia Sinclair and Patricia (Hans) VonChorus. Bud was predeceased by three of his children, Wesley, Rod and Jerraldine.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family in the Relief Society Room of the Church on Tuesday, April 24, 2001 from 1:00 P.M. to 1:40 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. with Bishop Larry Taylor officiating. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
