DAVID BURBANK

1929 - 2001

David Burbank of Barnwell, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2001 at the age of 71 years.
David June Burbank was born December 29, 1929 in Taber, Alberta. David was the son of Mary (Haws) and Grant Burbank. He received his schooling in Barnwell and Taber. David attended TECH (Sait) in Calgary from 1950-1951 where he took Agricultural Mechanics. He fulfilled a two year mission in England for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When he returned home he began farming with his uncles and father. He continued farming until his death. David enjoyed photography and took the pictures for many weddings and family occasions in the Barnwell and Taber area. He participated in the Alberta Summer Games entering various target shooting events. David was very interested in many of the farmers and their families of the Barnwell-Taber area and the members of the Barnwell Ward.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, Mary and Grant Burbank.
He is survived by his sister Janice who will miss him dearly. He will be remembered by his Aunt Leah Harbinson of Medicine Hat, Uncle Ellis Haws of Taber, Aunt Dean Burbank of Magrath and Uncle Stanley Van Orman of Lethbridge.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family in the Relief Society Room of the Church on Tuesday, June 26, 2001 from 12:45 P.M. to 1:45 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Barnwell Chapel on Tuesday, June 26, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. with Bishop Marty Johnson conducting. Interment followed in the Barnwell Cemetery.
