LORI LYNN RODRIGUEZ

1965 - 2001

Lori Lynn Rodriguez, beloved wife of David Rodriguez and devoted mother of José of Calgary, passed away near Vauxhall on Friday, October 5, 2001 at the age of 36 years.
Lori was born at Lethbridge, Alberta on August 29, 1965. She attended school at Vauxhall, later attending the University of Alberta in Edmonton. She opted out of her university courses and proceeded to become an optician. She worked for various employers in the optical field, lastly in the laser eye operating field. After the birth of her son Jose’, she enjoyed and worked for Equity Capital in Calgary in property management until her passing. It was during a holiday to Mazatlan, Mexico that Lori met her future husband David and they were married on July 28, 1990. Lori enjoyed camping and spending quality time with her family. She led an active lifestyle, playing baseball and different sports activities. She enjoyed and looked forward to the annual family trip to Mexico.
Lori leaves to mourn her loving husband David; the joy of her life, her precious son José; her parents John and Gladys Parkinson of Vauxhall; sister Shelley Fejer and her husband Paul of Adelaide, South Australia; David’s mother Guadalupe Rodriguez Guerrero and David’s sister Lupita Mendez Rodriguez both of Mazatlan, Mexico; grandmother Mary Parkinson of Taber, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her grandfather Tom Parkinson and her maternal grandparents, Sigrid and Gilbert Larson.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, October 10, 2001 at 8:30 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320 - 9 Street North, Vauxhall on Thursday, October 11, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Jeffery Frostad officiating. Burial followed in the Enchant Cemetery.
