1914 - 2001

Clifford Gordon Rombough, beloved husband of Agnes Rombough of Taber, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2001 at the age of 87 years.
Clifford was born one of fifteen children to Samuel and Jean Rombough on July 13, 1914 at Haileybury, Ontario. At the age of 4 years he moved with his family to Purple Springs. Years later he met Agnes Williams and then married her on November 1, 1941. Clifford enlisted in the service and served from 1942 to 1946. Following his service in the army, he returned home where he farmed and broke horses. He later worked as a machinist and a carpenter. With his carpentry skills he worked with his father and brothers building many stores and homes in Taber including the Tower Theatre. Clifford worked for Jerry Holtman until he was 65 and then went on to work for John Deere until the age of 72. He remained active for many years and loved square dancing, riding horses and playing cards in his spare time.
Besides his loving wife Agnes, he will be remembered by his children Russell (Doreen) Rombough of Lethbridge, Roxy Ferguson and her special friend Gail Fitch of Taber, Roger (Barb) Rombough of Lethbridge and Terry (Brenda) Rombough of Taber; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Clarence (Edith) Rombough, Edna (Mel) Ronspies, Walter Rombough, Mary Malinsky, Ruth (Taras) Nawolski and Ellen (Roy) Jensen all of Taber; a brother-in-law Gordon (Alice) Williams of Coeur D‘Alene and two sisters-in-law Freda Williams of Taber and Vivian Rombough of Taber as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Clifford was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Jean Rombough and five brothers, Russell, Archie, Lacey, Mylon and Nelson Rombough; three sisters, Alberta Edwards, Helen Rombough and Jean Rombough and a son-in-law Don Ferguson.
The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Monday, October 15, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Jim Lochhead officiating.
