KUMI WADA

1903 - 2000

Kumi Wada of Lethbridge, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2000 at the age of 97 years.
Kumi was born in Japan on January 5, 1903. She married Kazuo Wada and then moved to Vancouver, British Columbia. In 1942 they came to Alberta settling in the Picture Butte area. Kazuo passed away in 1960. Kumi has resided in several homes in Southern Alberta and was most recently a resident of the new St. Michael’s Health Centre in Lethbridge.
Kumi will be forever remembered by her son Joe (Evelyn) Wada of Barnwell; and grandchildren Glen (Brenda) Wada and their daughter Kassidy of Barnwell and Martha (Mark) Planger of Taber; a daughter Jean (Don) Craft of Fruitvale, British Columbia; and grandchildren Laurel (Dale Reimer) and their son Joseph Craft of Moyie, British Columbia and Pat Craft of Sparwood, British Columbia
A private family funeral service was held with Reverend Ken Crassweller officiating. Burial to take place at the Taber Memorial Garden.
