He is also survived by one sister, Ann Ballock of Edmonton and two brothers, Alec of Carstairs and Nick (Linda) of Lethbridge.
Dad was predeceased by three brothers, Dennis, Johnny and Michael, one sister, Kay Anderson and one great grandchild, Tate Blanchard.
Dad attended school in Taber and worked various jobs until he joined the Canadian Army in 1940 and served with the 17th Anti-Aircraft Battery and then transferred to the Loyal Edmonton Regiment.  He served four and a half years overseas.  When dad returned from the war, he married Edna Anderson in 1946.  She predeceased him in 1975.
Dad was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, serving for many years on the Executive. He enjoyed sports, especially fishing and golfing in his younger years and also enjoyed watching hockey and baseball on TV. Dad always took pride in his yard and kept it in immaculate condition. He also enjoyed going for coffee with his friends every morning and playing cards in the afternoon. He just recently moved into the Seniors Lodge and really enjoyed it there.   Family was always very important to Dad and he loved to spend time with each and every one of them. He will be greatly missed by all of us.
