LLOYD DUNCAN

1940 - 2004

Lloyd Alexander Duncan of Taber, beloved husband of Phyllis Duncan, passed away in Lethbridge on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at the age of 64 years.
Lloyd was born in Elkhorn, Manitoba on May 19, 1940, the only son of David and Lucy Duncan. He received his schooling in Elkhorn and moved to Calgary in 1958. He met Phyllis Morrison of Calgary and they married September 24, 1960. In 1966 they moved to Taber and started Chinook Cleaners. Lloyd and Phyllis began Royal Rug Cleaners in 1971 and together they operated the business until the time of Lloyd's passing.  Lloyd's interests in life were horses, antiques and farming.
Besides his loving wife Phyllis, he is survived by his daughter Debbie; son Jim; daughter-in-law Michelle; sister Rosella Shepherd; four grandchildren Jaylene, Jared, Brian and Charmaine and two great grandchildren Jordan and Trista. 
Lloyd was predeceased by his parents David and Lucy Duncan and his son David. 
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006-48 Ave., Taber on Monday, October 4, 2004 from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.  
A celebration of Lloyd's life will be held at the Taber Royal Canadian Legion, 5205-48 Ave., on Tuesday, October 5 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M.
