DALE DUNN

1921 - 2004

Mr. Dale Dunn, beloved husband of Mrs. Lena Dunn of Vauxhall, passed away in Lethbridge, on Friday, April 9, 2004 at the age of 82 years.  
Dale was born at Sundial, Alberta on November 19, 1921, the sixth child of Ben and Cynthia Dunn. He received his schooling at Sundial and on June 3, 1942 married Lena Monson. That same year he enlisted in the Army and after his training, served overseas from 1943 to 1946. After his return from war, they farmed in Sundial, then moved to Retlaw from 1954 until 1975, at which time they retired to Vauxhall. Dale was a dedicated, active member of the Vauxhall Royal Canadian Legion.  
Besides his loving wife Lena, he is survived by two sons Danny Dunn and Boyd (Sharon) Dunn; three daughters Sharon (Joe) Such, Sheila (Gail) Alcock and Nadine (Roger) Skretting; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers Leonard (Vicky) Dunn, Ken (Peggy) Dunn and Vernon (Yvonne) Dunn; sisters Ellen Oseen, Joy Johnson, Ruth Matthews and Hazel Fletcher.  
He was predeceased by his parents Ben and Cynthia Dunn, brothers Tom, Jake, Lloyd, Alvin and Clio, a sister Gladys McBeth and also a granddaughter Frances Claire Dunn.  
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the  Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church (320-9 Street North) on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 from 1:00 to 1:45 P.M.
The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Ray Speaker officiating. Interment to follow in the Vauxhall Cemetery.
