BLAKE ELLIOTT

1986 - 2007

Blake David Elliott, beloved, precious son of Gary and Shelley Yates of Bow Island and Dave Elliott of Lethbridge, passed away suddenly at Brooks on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at the age of 20 years.
Blake is lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his parents, his sisters Cassandra (Ryan) Kielstra, Larissa Elliott (Deven Collins) and his precious niece Alexa & nephew Cash. He is also survived by his loving grandparents Helen Miller of Bow Island, Jack Elliott of Lethbridge and Bill & Delores Yates of Burdett; by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins; his girlfriend Lisa Kochis and many friends too numerous to mention.
He was predeceased by his grandfather Robert Miller, his grandmother Thelma Elliott and a very special cousin Robert Miller.
Blake was born in Bow Island on August 2, 1986. He attended St. Michael’s School and Senator Gershaw School from which he graduated in June of 2004. In grade two, Blake was so excited because his god-mother, Auntie Nita was his teacher. He worked at Len’s Foods in Bow Island during his high school years and gained much experience there. His special smile made him very popular with the customers, so much so that he received graduation gifts from some of the people that he delivered groceries to. After graduating, Blake moved to Medicine Hat to work for BJ Services Company Canada and then in August 2006 he started working for Leader Energy Services and had already been promoted to Service Supervisor. He enjoyed his job immensely, making many fantastic buddies. Blake loved all sports with volleyball and golf being his favorites. The last few years he starting playing the guitar and with the help of Gavin & Marty became quite the musician. Blake was so happy to take a few vacations. In 1995, he celebrated his ninth birthday in Disneyland with his Mom, sisters and Auntie Vonnie. In 1997, Blake & Larissa went to Florida with his Uncle Howard, Auntie Anne, and cousins Brock & Lydia. In February of this year, he had the best time of his life in Cancun with friends Derrick Lynn, Mark Gravelle and Ryan Geldreich.
He was a loving, caring son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin & friend to many. Our hearts are broken, but in our broken hearts, Blake will live forever!
The Funeral Service will be held at the Evangelical Free Church, 214 - 4 Avenue West, Bow Island on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. with Civil Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. At the request of his family, please dress casual in memory of Blake.
