Grace was born in Drente, Holland to Albert and Roelofje Kiers on September 27, 1932. In 1950, she moved with her family to Picture Butte. There she met the love of her life, Klaas Visser and they moved to Taber in 1952. On April 6, 1953, Grace and Klaas were married. They worked for numerous farmers and moved around to various places for work including Edmonton, Redcliff and Vauxhall. Klaas and Grace farmed north of Taber where they raised their family before moving to Taber in 1979.
For the past nineteen years, Grace has resided at Taber Extended Care and Linden View Care Centre. As a family, we would like to thank the staff at both facilities for the wonderful care she received. We would also like to thank all those who visited Grace and especially those that were there on a weekly basis. Our faith has carried us through these difficult times, especially for Klaas who for all these years has watched Grace suffer but never gave up his love for her. She was a loving and kind person to all. She will be greatly missed.
