1956 - 2008

Allan Louie Friesen, beloved husband of Darlene Friesen of Taber, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2008 at the age of 52 years.
Besides his loving wife Darlene, Allan is survived by his sons Jason (Sheila) of Fort McMurray, Christopher (Elisa) of Lethbridge; Darlene’s sons John of Taber, Jordon of Taber, Jacob of Taber and his grandchildren, Rohan & Tanek; his parents, Herman & Victoria Friesen of Taber; Darlene’s parents and Dave & Marie Wiggins of Orangeville, Ontario. He is also survived by a sister Melonie (Randy) Weiss of Taber; three brothers, Herman (Darlene) Friesen of Calgary, Terry (Susan) Friesen of Lethbridge, Alex Friesen of Lethbridge and many extended family that were very special to him.
He was predeceased by his younger brother Randall and infant nephew Jonathan.
Allan was born in Taber on February 9, 1956 where he was raised and educated. He worked in the construction industry for eighteen years with Bos Builders of Taber. During this time he met his dream of becoming a Safety Officer in the construction field.
Allan was dedicated and committed to the community of Taber by serving with Taber Emergency Services for sixteen years, most recently with the rank of Captain. He was known as the “inventor” and “problem” solver.
Everything Allan did in life he did with passion. He loved and cared for his family and many friends and will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the First Christian Reformed Church, corner of Hackney Drive & Hwy. 36, Taber on Thursday, September 18, 2008 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at the First Christian Reformed Church, corner of Hackney Drive & Highway 36, Taber on Friday, September 19, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jim Zondervan officiating. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
