Burga was born on June 15, 1914 in Grassy Lake, Alberta. She married Adam Fettig in 1933 and together they farmed south of Grassy Lake until 1965 at which time they retired to Lethbridge. The farmer in them prevailed and they grew a beautiful garden in Lethbridge. Burga enjoyed curling and they both bowled for many years, receiving trophies for their abilities. They also enjoyed playing bridge with friends in Lethbridge and traveling in the U.S., spending some winters in Mesa, Arizona. Summer took them to parks in Alberta fishing and enjoying traveling in their motor home. Burga always had her hands busy making ceramic gifts for grandchildren, crocheting, knitting and plastic canvas work. She was long time member of the C.W.L., receiving her 50 Year Pin. After Adam died in 1991 she still played bridge. She later became a resident of the Alberta Rose Lodge and for the past few years has been residing at the Taber Extended Care facility.
