JACK FUJIMAGARI

1923 - 2004

Mr. Jack Fujimagari, beloved husband of Mrs. Hiroye
Fujimagari of Taber, passed away in Calgary on Friday,
June 4, 2004 at the age of 80 years.  

Jack was born August 2, 1923 at Port Moody, B.C. He
received his schooling in Burnaby, B.C. and graduated
from North Burnaby High School. He came to Taber in
1946 where he resided until the time of his passing.

Jack married Hiroye Tomiyama on April 7, 1956. He
worked for the M.D. of Taber, retiring in December of
1985. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, curling and
playing crib with his coffee buddies.  

Besides his loving wife Hiroye, he will be sadly
missed by his five children and four grandchildren
Laurel (Scott) Watson and their children Robin, Allie
and Sidney all of Calgary, John (Sherri) of Carstairs,
David (Catherine Trueman) and their son Alex of
Calgary, Dennis (Tina Jones) of Lethbridge and Sheila
Fujimagari of Air Ronge, Saskatchewan; a brother Dr.
Tak Fujimagari of New Castle, Pennsylvania and five
sisters Jean (Joe) Tatebe of Lethbridge, Takeko Baba
of Chatham, Ontario, Joyce (George) Hirasawa of
Hamilton, Ontario, Anne Kamitakahara of Victoria, B.C.
and Margaret (Ken) Clark of Enderby, B.C.

He was predeceased by his brother Yosh Fujimagari.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the
family at the Southland Funeral Chapel (5006-48 Ave.)
Taber on Tuesday, June 8, 2004 from 6:30 to 7:30 P.M.
 

The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church
(4929-50 Ave.) Taber on Wednesday, June 9 at 2:00 P.M.
with Reverend Jim Lochhead officiating. Interment to
follow in the Taber Memorial Garden.
