JIM BONETTE

1912 - 2007

James Bonette beloved husband of Josephine Bonette of Taber, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2007 at the age of 95 years.
He was born April 20, 1912 at the first Taber Hospital to Frank and Eda Bonette.  Jim received his schooling in Hardieville, Lethbridge and Purple Springs.  He married Josephine Kerkhoff on October 1, 1941 and they resided in Purple Springs for the next  four years.  They then moved to Vauxhall to manage the Vauxhall Hotel & Bar. After only a year, Dad returned to his roots and purchased the farm north east of Taber. His deepest love was his cattle, being a long time member of the Canadian Hereford Association. Dad was an avid curler, loved his Saturday afternoon wrestling and Saturday night hockey. Rodeo was a passion of his and in his later years he enjoyed traveling with family to the Innisfail Rodeo and the Canadian finals in Edmonton.
Besides his love of sixty five years Josephine, he is survived by his five children Larry Bonette and his children Dustin and Delaina; Cathy “Boots” Bonette (Roger) and children Gena (Rick) (children Ashley and Taylor), Jamie (Sarita); Jim Bonette (Trish) and children Jordan, Jerad and Nicole; Bernie (Jackie) Bonette and children Ren, Kallee and Cole; Cheryl (Doug) Domolewski and children Stacey and Becky.  Jim is also survived by his sister Rose Tallman of Taber, sister-in-law “Budgie” Bonetti of Lethbridge as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Eda Bonette, brothers Gus, Guido and Silvio, brother-in-law Keith Tallman, sisters-in-law Stella Bonetti and Phyllis Bonetti and by his nephew Louie Bonetti.
  Relatives and friends are invited for Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, April 27, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Andrew Maruszczak SDS, Celebrant.  Interment to follow in the Taber Memorial Garden.
