Victor is survived by his brother George Daniels of Calgary, his sister Mary Daniels of North Vancouver, British Columbia, his sister Jean (Harry) Sowinski of Taber, his baby brother Lawrence (Mary) Daniels from Longview and numerous nieces, nephews and their families from all over the Countryside.

He was predeceased by his parents, brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews.

Victor was born March 1, 1929 In Balcarres, Saskatchewan, the tenth of fourteen children born to Angus and Helen Daniels. He was known for his love of music and dancing, his most favorite was the Red River Jig, Yodeling and playing his guitar. One weekend he disappeared and when Jean saw him asked, “where have you been?” His reply was “I ended up in the hoosegow (meaning jail)” and his famous words were “DON’T TELL MOM"!

Victor was an avid hockey fan, cheering for the Montreal Canadians the Vancouver Canucks and Calgary Flames. In his younger days, he would hop trains. He took his nephew Billy on a train trip from Taber to Lethbridge and Grandma and Jean drove to Lethbridge to pick them up. Families could always expect an unexpected visit. His nephews in Saskatchewan always called him “Superman”. He was so small but acted so tough.

Eighteen years ago, Victor suffered a stroke and lived out his remaining years in extended care with his sister Jean and niece Shirley committed to his care.

He will be greatly missed by many and when you hear a Johnny Cash song, it will be him talking to you.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Victor’s name may be made directly to The Salvation Army Community Church Of Lethbridge , 1302 - 4 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta T1J 0R4.
