1922 - 2007

Violet Ivy Gow, beloved wife of the late Frank Gow, of Taber (formerly of Vauxhall), passed away at the Taber Continuing Care on Friday, November 30, 2007 at the age of 85 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Everett Gow of Brighton, Ontario, John (Diane) Gow of Whitehorse, Floyd (Elsie) Gow of Bowden, Phil Gow of Innisfail, Robert (Maureen) Gow of Coaldale, Marylou (Harold) Donaldson of Pincher Creek, Paul (Shirley) Gow of Vauxhall, Dixie Jensen of Taber, Cheryl (Randy) Waddle of Vauxhall and Tim (Joyce) Gow of Vauxhall; twenty-five grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Eva Wallis of Surrey, British Columbia and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Frank in 1986; sons Kenneth and Elon in 1948; four grandchildren; six brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
Violet was born February 15, 1922 in Wolsely, Saskatchewan. In 1928 she and her family moved to Grantham where she attended the Southside School and in 1938 the Vauxhall School.
Violet and Frank were married November 23, 1938 in Medicine Hat. In 1943, they purchased a farm two miles north of Vauxhall.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320 - 9 Street North, Vauxhall on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Alana Johnson of the Parkview United Church in Vauxhall, officiating. Burial to follow at the Vauxhall Cemetery.
