KLAAS VISSER

1901 - 1981

The Lord took Home after a short illness on March 16, 1981 Klaas Visser Sr., husband of Alice Visser of Taber.

Besides his wife Alice, Klaas is survived by their three daughters Agnes (John) Slomp of Brooks, Jenny (Harry) Stolk and Diny (Sietse) Geertsma both of Taber; four sons Klaas (Grace) Visser, Hans (Lena) Visser, Dick (Marilyn) Visser and Morris (Margaret) Visser all of Taber; thirty eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Born in Holland on November 21, 1901, Klaas came to Canada in May of 1949, settling in Picture Butte and in 1952 moved to the Taber area where he farmed, retiring to the Town of Taber in 1967.

The Funeral Service was held at the Christian Reformed Church in Taber on Friday, March 20, 1981 with Rev. J. Corvers officiating. Interment followed at the Taber Memorial Garden. Pallbearers were Allan Visser, Ronald Visser, Kenneth Visser, Richard Visser, Edwards Stolk, James Stolk, John Slomp and Carl Slomp.
