Katie Giesbrecht

1924 - 2018

Katherina Giesbrecht, beloved wife of the late Frank Giesbrecht Sr., passed away in Lethbridge on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the age of 94 years.

 Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, July 26, 2018 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. 

 The Burial Service was held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Cemetery (travel north of Vauxhall on Highway 36 almost seven kilometers, then head east on Township Road 140 just over one kilometer) on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. 

 The Funeral Service was held at the First Christian Reformed Church, 3902 Heritage Drive, Taber on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. 

 Katie is survived by her children Beatrice (Peter) Reimer of Taber, Frank (Grace) Giesbrecht of Taber, John (Sandra) Giesbrecht of Hays, Dave (Helena) Giesbrecht of Edmonton, Ike (Gail) Giesbrecht of Edmonton, Kathy (Bob) Dietrich of Lomond,  Jake (Margaret) Giesbrecht of Coalhurst, Henry (France Helene) Giesbrecht of Richmound, Saskatchewan, Rose Allred of Coaldale, Carol (Darren) Pruski of Edmonton, Pete (Dee) Giesbrecht of Bow Island, Brenda (James) Tyo of Taber and Ted (Heather) Giesbrecht of Sutton West, Ontario. Katie was blessed with seventy one grandchildren and fifty four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Hilda Penner and Rudy Kasdorf.

 Katie was predeceased by her husband Frank Giesbrecht Sr. and infant son Matthew Giesbrecht.
