ANDREW HIRNIAK

1925 - 2004

Andrew Hirniak, beloved husband of Fenia Hirniak of Taber, passed away at the Taber Hospital on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at the age of 79 years.
Andrew was born in Mistyce (Lvov) Ukraine on September 9, 1925 and received his schooling there. In 1942 he moved to Germany and in 1945 moved to England before marrying Fenia November 26, 1949. In 1953 they settled in Taber where he worked for a short time with Rogers Sugar before gaining employment with CP Rail, retiring in 1986 after 30 years.
Besides his loving wife Fenia, Andrew is survived by his daughter Luba (Donald) Solonynko of Oakville, ON, and their children John, Tamara (Marco) Scheiwiller and Stephanie, his son Myron (Terralin) of Calgary and their daughter Deanna, and his son Steve of Taber.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, December 5, 2004 at 7:00 P.M.   
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, December 6, 2004 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Father Mariusz Sztuk SDS Celebrant. Interment to follow at Taber Memorial Garden.
