ELLA HOUSLEY

1908 - 2004

Ella Housley, beloved wife of the late Vernon Henry, Manual Capton and John Housley, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, in Bow Island on Thursday, July 22, 2004 at the age of 95 years.
Ella was born October 13, 1908 in Raymond, Alberta. 
Ella was the beloved mother of Margaret (Jack) Hopkins, Larry (Catherine) Henry, Sharon Henry, Sharon Nergaard, Judy (Dale) Harnack and Court (Wendy) Henry.  She was the loving grandmother of twenty-three grandchildren, forty-nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Ella's memory will also be cherished by her brothers, Dave Court, Hugh (Jerry) Court, Max Court, Tim (Wendy) Court; sisters Alice Mitchell and Mary (Allen) Heggie.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  
Ella was predeceased by her parents Margaret and George Court and stepmother Alice Howard Court of Raymond, Alberta, a daughter Elaine 1939, husband Vernon Henry 1953, husband Manual Capton 1967, husband John Housley 1988, grandson Clifford Bareham 1988, daughter Dixie Dyck 1996, son Douglas Henry 1997, sons-in-law Nels Nergaard 2002 and Ben Dyck 2002.  She was also predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters.  
Ella will be remembered for her love of her family and for her positive attitude.  Mom was always a hard worker who loved gardening, canning, music and especially quilting for all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  
Family and friends are invited to meet with the family and pay their respects at the church, prior to the service, from 12:30 P.M. to 1:45 P.M.  
The Funeral Service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bow Island on Monday, July 26, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with Bishop Leif Erickson officiating.  Interment to follow in the Taber Memorial Garden.
