JOEL HENRY

1951 - 2004

Mr. Joel Andrew Henry, beloved husband of Mrs. June Henry of Taber, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2004 at the age of 53 years.  
Joel was born at Regina, Saskatchewan on April 11, 1951, the son of Ron and Marjorie Henry. At a young age he moved with his family to Loon Lake, Saskatchewan.  He began his schooling at Loon Lake and received his diploma in Saskatoon. Joel trained as an electrician obtaining his journeyman papers and later his Master Electrician Certificate. He married June Harrison on February 21, 1978. They resided in Taber and at the time of his passing was employed with Rogers Sugar. Joel enjoyed music and tinkering with cars.  He shared his love of hockey and fishing with his sons.  
He is survived by his loving wife June of Taber; his mother Marjorie Henry of Powell River, B.C.; two sons Ron of Taber and Bob of Edmonton; brother Allan (Donna) Henry of Saskatoon; two sisters Louise (Jeff) Thorpe of Saskatoon and Anna (Gordon) McGillivray of Abbotsford, B.C.; mother-in-law Doreen Harrison of Pincher Creek; brothers-in-law Glenn Harrison and Brian (Rhonda) Harrison all of Pincher Creek and also by numerous nieces and nephews.  
He was predeceased by his father Ron Henry and father-in-law Charles Harrison.  
The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church (4929-50 Ave.) Taber on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Jim Lochhead officiating.  Interment to follow in the Taber Memorial Garden.
