1925 - 2006

Hannah Mary Browning of Taber, beloved wife of the late Jack Browning, passed away in High River on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at the age of 80 years.
Hannah was born in Empress, Alberta on December 6, 1925, the daughter of Wilson and Agnes Hughes. She was raised in Calgary where she received her schooling. Hannah married Jack Browning  on February 22, 1947. They moved to Taber in 1948 where they owned and operated the Taber Bakery. They were renowned for their doughnuts, pastries and wedding cakes. Family was important to Hannah and she cherished each and everyone of them.
She will be forever loved by her children and their families; Terry (Joan) of High River and their children Chris (Kacey), Danielle, Catherine, Gina, Lisa and David and her great grandchildren Kloe and Asher; Bill (Monica) of Taber and their sons John (Leanne Brezovski) and Bryan; Bev (Tom) Nelson of Nanton and their children Kim, Ian and Carl (Carrie and Cole) of Edmonton; two brothers Bill (Charlotte) Hughes of Stoney Plain and Jim (Lynn) Hughes of Calgary and a sister-in-law Evelyn Hughes.
Besides her husband Jack she was predeceased by two brothers Jack and Ted Hughes and a sister in infancy Evelyn Joyce.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006-48 Ave., Taber on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. The Funeral Service will follow at St. Theodore's Anglican Church, 5120-44 Ave., Taber at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Wil Stonehill officiating.  Interment to follow in the Taber Memorial Garden.
