During Derek’s twenty year life, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family doing various things such as roller-blading, working out with weights, snowmobiling, racing his remote controlled gas powered trucks and learning automotive repairs.  He was well liked by everyone who met him at work and at play and Derek always tried to stay in touch with them.  Derek enjoyed his job, working with his dad in the oilfield as a pipeline locator.  Derek will be sadly missed by all that knew him.  Rest in peace my son.
