MARY MEYER

1925 - 2007

Mrs. Mary Isabella Meyer of Taber, beloved wife of the late Dr. John Meyer, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the age of 81 years.
Mary was born on May 27, 1925 at Bashaw, Alberta the daughter of Jack and Annie McCutcheon.  She received her schooling at Bashaw after which she worked at the bank in Blackie.  She married John Meyer on November 25, 1945.  Mary was a wife and homemaker who dedicated her life to her family.  She was a very creative woman who loved her garden, wrote poetry and enjoyed sewing, knitting, ceramics, bridge, bingo and golf.  She was a “spunky” woman with a twinkle in her eyes and a smile on her face who passed on the gift of laughter and love of life to her daughters.
Mary will be dearly missed by her six daughters Colleen (Cliff) Holowiski of Taber, Barbara (John Van Dyk) Meyer of Edmonton, Patricia (Yucel) Soykut of Calgary, Evelyn (Cris) Abels of Talequah, Oklahoma, Kathleen (Bob) Landry of Oshawa, Ontario and June (Mitch) Friesen of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; twenty grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; a brother Dr. John McCutcheon of Lethbridge and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son John Meyer, brother Robert (Jean) McCutcheon and sister-in-law Helen McCutcheon.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, March 26, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Mariusz Sztuk SDS Celebrant.  A private family interment will take place at a later date in High River, Alberta.
