GEORGE MATSUMOTO

1930 - 2004

Mr. George "Flat Top" Matsumoto of Taber, passed away suddenly at the  Lethbridge Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at the age of 73 years.
George was born at Sea Island, B.C. on April 24, 1930.  
He is survived by his wife Molly, son Bill (Linda) of Medicine Hat; daughter Judy; grandsons Cody and Chad and a sister Betty Uyesugi and also by numerous nieces and nephews.  
George was predeceased by his parents Naka (1990) and Toshi (1996), sister Fumie Omotani (2004), son-in-law Blake Pearson (2000), brothers-in-law Kuma Omotani (1986) and George Uyesugi (1991). 
Friends and family are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel (5006-48 Ave.) on Sunday, January 11, 2004 from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church (4929-50 Ave.) Taber on Monday, January 12, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor George Takashima officiating.  Interment to follow in the Taber Memorial Garden.
