MARY OLFERT

1924 - 2005

Mrs. Mary Olfert, beloved wife of the late Mr. Isaac Olfert, passed away at the Taber Hospital on Friday, August 26, 2005 at the age of 80 Years.
Mary was born November 29, 1924 near Hague, Saskatchewan to Peter I. and Sarah Fehr. She was the eleventh child of sixteen children. She married Isaac Olfert and together they farmed in Saskatchewan until 1958, then moving to Hays, Alberta where they farmed until 1981. They retired to Taber where she has resided until her passing. Her family was of utmost importance to her, next to her faith in God.
Mary will be lovingly remembered by her children, Janet (Ken) Whitmore, Ron (Doreen) Olfert, Ken (Marilyn) Olfert, Terry (Sylvia) Olfert, Tim (Paula) Olfert, sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Elizabeth Goertzen and  Tena Olfert both of Taber and Ann Hiebert of Hague, Saskatchewan; five brothers, Bill Fehr, Jake (Bertha) Fehr, George Fehr, Corny (Sarah) Fehr and Ben (Mary) Fehr all of Hague, Saskatchewan; sisters-in-law Betty Neudorf of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Martha Fehr of Hague, Saskatchewan and brother-in-law David Derksen of La Crete, Alberta as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by Isaac, her loving husband of fifty years, in 1997.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, August 29, 2005 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320 - 9 Street North, Vauxhall on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. Interment to follow at the Vauxhall Mennonite Cemetery.
