John and Proberta lived in the Burdett area, where they farmed and raised three children. They retired in 1974 and moved to Lethbridge where they were active in bowling in the winter and camping in the summer. After John’s passing, Proberta stayed in Lethbridge until her move to Pleasant View Lodge in Bow Island in 2003.  She continued to reside in Bow Island until her passing.  Proberta was an avid gardener and a very proficient seamstress. During her time in the Burdett area, she was an active member of the Burdett Women’s Institute and the Grassy Lake Catholic Women’s League.  Proberta held a variety of positions in these organizations.  Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were very special to her and provided her with many wonderful times.
