DOREEN WOLSEY

1927 - 2008

Doreen Wolsey, beloved wife of the late Kenneth Wolsey, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at the age of 81 years.
She is survived by her children Christine Olsen (Tom), Ian (Lorraine) Wolsey and Fiona Wolsey (Greg) all of Lethbridge; grandchildren Julie, Ryan (Jessica), Paige, Brian, Kendra, Suzanne and Michelle; nine great grandchildren; brother Ron (Joyce) Kelsal of Calgary.
She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth and parents Charles and Mary Kelsal.
Doreen was born on August 25, 1927 in England, where she was raised and educated. She married Kenneth Wolsey in 1949 and together they moved to Canada in 1956 settling in Toronto. A few years later they moved to Calgary where they lived for eight years. In 1966 they moved to Taber where they raised their family. Following Ken’s passing in 1985, Doreen moved to Lethbridge where she has resided until her passing. While living in Taber, Doreen was active in the St. Theodore’s Anglican Church Woman's group. She always enjoyed playing bingo, but most of all she loved the time spent with her grandchildren. Doreen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be forever loved and remembered by her family and friends.
A private family service will be held.
