Edna was born in Stirling, Alberta on September 28, 1916 to John and Minnie Hill.  She was the youngest daughter.  Edna was always an enthusiastic person and had a zest for life.  She was an excellent cook, homemaker and hard worker.  Edna grew up in Stirling.  Dancing was one of her favorite pastimes and she became a good dancer.  She also enjoyed playing cards, knitting and crocheting.  Cliff and Edna were married August 8, 1936 and would have celebrated 71 years of marriage this year.  They lived in Picture Butte where they raised their children.  In 1961 Cliff was transferred to the Taber Sugar Factory.  Edna was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and always did her share in providing service whenever she could.  She was always dependable and punctual.  Edna was a sociable person and a good visitor and listener to her many friends.  We sincerely thank Thurza Peard for her many visits to Mom in the Extended Care over the past five and a half years.  She could get Mom to smile when no one else could.  Thank you also to the angels of mercy who took such good care of Mom at the hospital since her stroke.
