HENRY WALL

1911 - 2006

Henry Wall of Coaldale, passed away at the Coaldale Health Care  Center on Saturday, May 27, 2006 at the age of 95 years.
Henry was born on February 3, 1911 in Russia and immigrated to Canada  in 1926.  He worked as a farm hand in Manitoba and Saskatchewan  before homesteading at Rosemary, Alberta.  He married Sara Peters in  1941, starting a family of five children in Rosemary.  In 1963 they  moved to Vauxhall, then Hays, where they farmed until their move to  Lethbridge in 1979 when Henry retired.  After Sara’s passing in 1984  he married Elsie Friesen  and resided in Vauxhall until 1997.  His  final years were spent at Sunny South Lodge and Extended Care in  Coaldale.  His family lovingly remembers him for his uncomplaining  spirit, ready smile, quite humour, dedication, compassion and devotion.
Henry is survived by his children Betty (Gaston) Thibeault of  Edmonton, Vera Wall of Gibson, B.C., Dorothy (Bob) Sindlinger of  Vernon, B.C., Eric (Margaret) Wall of Hays and Gerhard (Susanne) Wall  of Vauxhall; three brothers Nick (Katie) Wall of Winnipeg, Jake  (Erica) Wall of Abbotsford, B.C. and Bernhard (Anne) Wall of  Abbotsford, B.C. and nine grandchildren.  He is also survived by  Elsie’s four children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Henry  was predeceased by three sisters Mary Thiessen, Helen Dyck and  Elizabeth Harder; a brother Gerhard; his first wife Sara (Peters) and  his second wife Elsie (Baerg-Friesen).
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the  Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006-48 Ave., Taber on Wednesday, May 31,  2006 from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.  The Funeral Service will be held at the  Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320-9 Street North, on Thursday,  June 1, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Elroy Senneker officiating.    Interment to follow in the Vauxhall Mennonite Cemetery.
