1927 - 2010

Gerald Harman Wells, beloved husband of Annette Wells (nee Bueckert), passed away in Taber on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the age of 82 years.
Besides his loving wife Annette, he is survived by his children Edward (Pam) Wells of Mexico, Geraldine (Gary) Lloyd of Beiseker and Bruce (Michelle) Wells of Calgary; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; sister Muriel Gunderson; in-laws Abe & Helen Anrau, Henry Bueckert and Tina Connelly as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents John & Dorothy Wells; brother Charlie Wells; brothers-in-law Martin Gunderson, Peter and Isaac Bueckert; sisters-in-law Susan Jacobson and Margaret Loussieze; nephew Melvin Gunderson.
Gerry was born April 2, 1927 to Dorothy and John wells, the last of three children. Gerry along with his two siblings (Charlie and Muriel) was raised and educated in Bracken, Saskatchewan. Following the war and his employment with Imperial Oil in Regina, Gerry settled in Bracken to raise his family and farm his land. He was an active member of the local Mason lodge. At the same time Gerry worked tirelessly along side his brother to farm and maintain his parents land. In 1967 Gerry along with his three young children relocated to Calgary. While working and raising his family, Gerry met and married Annette Bueckert, his wife, partner and friend for thirty seven years. Following Gerry’s retirement in 1988, he and Annette headed for warmer winter’s in Quartzsite, Arizona. In 1993 Gerry and Annette choose once again to relocate to Taber to be equal distance between his children in Calgary and his sister Muriel in Great Falls. Gerry loved to take his fifth wheel and head out camping until two years ago when his deteriorating health forced him to discontinue most all of the outdoor activities that he loved.
A Graveside Service will be held in Bracken, Saskatchewan on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. where according to his wishes, Gerry will be laid to rest between his parents.
The family wish to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Dr. Beckie, Dr. Yamabe and the entire nursing staff at the Taber Hospital who were tireless in their efforts to ensure the comfort of Gerry during his recent illness and extended stay.
