ALBINA BEMBI
1912 - 2002
Albina Radin Bembi of Taber, beloved wife of the late Attilio Bembi, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2002 at the age of 90 years.
She is survived by her three children; daughter, Argia Funa and her two sons, Dragan (Esther) and their children Laura and Nicki, Boyan (Sonya) and their son Jan all of Slovenia; daughter, Ines (Carl) Hajek of Taber and their daughters, Cindy (Lloyd) VanGheluwe of High River and Cindy’s daughter Indeanna, Heide (Brian) Carriere of Taber and their children Reno and Justice; and son Ferruccio ‘Louie’ (Jean) Bembi of Taber and their daughter, Angela (Patrick) Machacek of Lethbridge and their children, Peyton and Hannah. Albina is also survived by a number of family members from Italy and Slovenia.
Besides her husband Attilio, she was predeceased by her parents Antonio and Maria and a son-in-law Stanko Funa.
Albina was born in Zarnovac, Italy on August 9, 1912. She was one of eight children, two brothers, Vittorio and Egidio; and five sisters, Bepina, Pierina, Gina, Nerina and Maria. She immigrated to Canada in 1957 and settled in the Taber area.
Relatives and friends were invited for Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, November 18, 2002 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Jim de los Angeles, Celebrant. Interment followed in the Taber Memorial Garden.
