Sheila Ypma

1945 - 2025

 According to the predetermined plan of the sovereign God, Sheila Rose Ypma was taken by the Lord from this earth on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at the age of 79 years. Sheila was a child of God because of God‘s divine election, whereby even before the earth was founded, God chose for Himself, the children whom He redeemed. Sheila was saved by God’s grace alone, because of the atoning blood of the crucified and resurrected Jesus Christ alone and through the instrument of God given faith alone. Sheila was baptized in the name of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit; to Him be all the glory for He alone is the God of salvation.

A private burial service was held at the Taber Memorial Garden prior to the funeral service on Monday, May 19, 2025.

The Funeral Service was held at the First Christian Reformed Church, 3902 Heritage Drive, Taber on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. 

Sheila leaves behind her family, whom she loved dearly as evidenced by her daily prayers for each one. Her beloved husband Louis Ypma; her son Lyle (Carol) Ypma and their children Johanna (Jonas), Rebecca (Travers, Solomon and Ebenezer), Sarah, Matthew (Charlotte, Silas and Eloise), Rachel and Esther; her daughter Tanya (Julian) Laarman and their children Kyle (Melissa, Marie), Jude (Sara, Julia and Ruth), Leah, Anika, Luke, Janna and Elise; her son Lloyd (Helene) Ypma and their children Rose, Justin, Wade, Maaike, Giselle and Fiona; her son Keith (Annalise) Ypma; her son Dale (Jennette) Ypma and their children Thomas (Preslee), Caleb, Lynnette, Jason, Mark, Joshua and Naomi. She is also survived by her sisters Joanne and Bernice, her brother Bruce and their families; Louis’s sisters and brothers Pat, Jake, Liz and their families.

Sheila was born in Neerlandia, AB, on October 23, 1945. She was predeceased by her parents Simon and Bertha Tuininga and by her sister Carol; Louis’ parents Anne and Minke Ypma and his siblings Siebe, Cathy and George.
