Neil later sold his share of the business and moved to southern Alberta in 1977 to start Orange Power Machinery. He then married Maureen McAlister, who had two children of her own, Rod and Carrie. Later in life, Neil moved to Caroline, where he spent his summers at his cabin.
In 2010, Neil met his companion Barbara Burnham, with whom he spent his winters staying warm in Arizona. He loved spending time golfing, playing pool, hiking and hunting. Neil will be missed by many.
