George Paul Kopervas, beloved husband of Evelyn Kopervas, passed away peacefully with his family by his side in Lethbridge on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the age of 90 years.

Besides Evelyn, his loving wife of sixty eight years, George is survived by their children Cindy (Richard) Willis of Vauxhall, Judy (Ken) Wiest of Lethbridge, Linda (Bob) Hobberstad Lethbridge, Ken (Jacqueline) Kopervas of Hays and Patty (Alan) Epp of Lethbridge; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents George and Susanna Kopervas, sister Anne Kelley, brother Johnny Kopervas, nephew Tom Martin (Kopervas) and infant sister, Mary Kopervas.

George was born on the family farm in Barnwell on November 29, 1935. He completed his eight years of education in Barnwell before becoming a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed all aspects of the farming life, as well as becoming a self taught “Jack-of-all-trades” with the firm belief of “I can fix it myself”. George loved his family unconditionally as they did him. He will forever be known for his incredible work ethic, integrity, honesty, sense of humor and generosity.

A friend to all. Happy Trails to You Dad.
