Julia Angyal

1938 - 2026

 Julia Angyal, beloved wife of the late Frank Angyal Sr., passed away peacefully at her home in Taber on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at the age of 88 years.

Julia will be fondly remembered by her four children, eleven grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren, Frank (Lori) Angyal Jr. of Taber and their family Clayton (Lisa) Angyal (his children Jayden and Chase), Adele (Trevor) Joly, Frank (Courtney) Angyal (their family Nash and Nellie) and Derek (Jenny) Angyal (his children Emery and Lennex); Julie (Russell) Bowman of Taber and their family Daina (Colt) Lazzarotto (their children Raegan and Abby) and Kevin (Destiny) Bowman (their children Brooklynn and Myla); Ethel (Doug) Russell of Lethbridge and their family David (Melissa) Russell (their children Emily and Gavin) and Michael Russell (his children Lucas and Mia); Kathy Boersma of Taber and her family Clarrissa (Mark) Brown (their children Mercedes, Mackenzie and Zoey), Brandi (Dan) Lengert (their children Parker and Liam) and Andy (Jolene) Boersma (their children Morgan, Shae and Isabella).

She was predeceased by her husband Frank Angyal Sr.; parents George and Julia Novak; son in-law Ralph Boersma and great grandson Aiden Russell and loved ones in Hungary.

Julia was born February 12, 1938 in Tiszaberal, Hungary. She married the love of her life Frank in 1956 and immigrated to Canada. She was patient, warm and kind. Julia’s family will miss her dearly.

The Funeral Service will be held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. with Life Celebrant Shelly Dawn officiating. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.

 Those who are unable to attend and wish to view the service online may do so by clicking on the livestream link that will be available on this page at 1:45 P.M. on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Barring any technical difficulties, the livestream will begin at 2:00 P.M.
