David Pauls

1930 - 2026

 David Pauls, beloved husband of Iris Pauls, passed away peacefully in Taber on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the age of 95 years.

David will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Iris and by his children Marcia Pauls, Ken Pauls and Lorna (Jim) Derksen all of Taber. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jason Guminy, Allison Pauls (Henry Banman), Jamie (Joe) Valgardson, Brandon Derksen, Sarah (Matt) Brown, Sandra (Cornelius) Fehr and by his great grandchildren, Dahlia Hemenway-Brown and Eli Valgardson. He will also be remembered by his sisters Anne Traber, Lydia (Alvin) Sawatsky and Janet Braun; his sisters-in-law Eva Pauls, Anne Pauls and by his brother-in-law, Leonard Vaselenak.

He was predeceased by his parents Abram and Katherine Pauls; his siblings Tina Regehr, Abram Pauls, Marjorie Burwash, Cornelius Pauls, Lena Boschman, John Pauls and Peter Pauls; his daughter-in-law Patricia Pauls and grandchildren, David and Lisa.

David was born in Grassy Lake on September 4, 1930. He lived a long and meaningful life centered on faith, family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who took great pride in his family. Farming was David’s life and something he truly loved. For many years, he also drove a school bus and enjoyed watching those children grow up. He was known for being kind and patient and especially enjoyed joking and teasing with his grandchildren. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew him.

A private burial service will be held at the Taber Memorial Garden prior to the funeral service on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

Friends meet family will ONLY be held at the reception following the funeral service.

The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 2:00 P.M.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Linden View for the wonderful care they provided.
