Kenny O'Grady

1962 - 2026

 Kenneth George Joseph O’Grady, passed away unexpectedly in Lethbridge with family by his side on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the age of 63 years.

Kenny is survived by his older brothers Michael (Johanne) O’Grady of Montreal and Kevin (Carm) O’Grady of Taber; sister-in-law Teresa Pacelli; brother-in-law Kevin Struble as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Louise O’Grady; siblings James, Kathleen and Andrew as well as his grandparents.

Kenny was born in Laval, Quebec, the second youngest of six. He was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Hussars. After his service, he moved to Ontario to work as a welder. In 2016 he moved to be closer to his brother Kevin in Taber. We are going to miss our weekly family dinners and crib games. We are trying to find out who you’ve passed your horseshoe on to.

May the road rise up to meet you...and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Kenny will be privately remembered by his family.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Kenny’s name may be made directly to the Taber Food Bank Society, 5512 - 48 Avenue, Taber, Alberta, T1G 1S4, where he enjoyed volunteering and playing crib before his health declined.

The family wishes to thank the Taber EMS, Taber Fire, the emergency department at the Taber Hospital and wonderful staff of the Chinook Regional Hospital ICU.
