1930 - 2019

 Entering into the glory of the Lord, Teunis “Tim” Westerhoud, beloved husband of the late Klaske “Clara” Westerhoud, passed away in Taber on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the age of 89 years.

 Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.

 A private burial service was held at the Taber Memorial Garden prior to the funeral service.

 The Funeral Service was held at the First Christian Reformed Church, 3902 Heritage Drive, Taber on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. 

 Tim is survived by his children Fenny (Shaun) Harpell of Taber, Linda (Hank) Overeem of Ponoka, Andy (Cathy) Westerhoud of Taber and Mike (Natasha) Westerhoud of Norquay, Saskatchewan; grandchildren Amanda Harpell, Melissa (Brett) Betts, Darren (Lisa) Overeem, Brad (Sarah) Overeem, Eileen (Adrian) Wassink, Janelle (Gerard) Winkelaar, Alana (Gert) Van der Vegte, Candace (Devin) Benson, Hana and Eli Westerhoud and twenty one great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Tony (Peggy) Westerhoud as well as numerous other relatives.

 He was predeceased by  his wife Clara, son Cornelius “Con”, parents Cornelius and Cornelia Westerhoud, brother Carl Westerhoud.

 Tim was born May 20, 1930 in Alphen aan den Rijn, Aarlanderveen, The Netherlands. He received his journeyman carpentry in The Netherlands before immigrating to Canada in 1952, settling in Picture Butte. In the fall of 1952, Tim met Clara Dykstra and they were married in Redcliff on January 14, 1956. They resided in Redcliff until 1957 when Tim, Clara and their first child Fenny moved to Taber, where Tim has resided until the time of his passing.

 In his younger years Tim was active in the Christian Reformed Church. He enjoyed boating, fishing, camping and matchstick architecture. 

 Tim was passionate about his church, family and work. He will be dearly missed.
