Gayle Lawson

1944 - 2020

Mary Anne Gayle Lawson, passed away in Taber on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at the age of 76 years.

 Gayle is survived by Dave Turtle and his family, her three children Val (Garry) Repas, Sherri Hoy and Wes (Debbie) Lawson and their families. Gayle is also survived by her brothers Daryl (Carolyn) Hunt and Gordon (Jackie) Hunt, her sister Sharon (John) Noble and her sister-in-law Pat Hunt as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 Gayle was predeceased by her parents, her brother Wayne Hunt,  brother-in-law Harvey Zelasek, two sisters-in-law, Ida Hunt and Shirley Dudenhoffer.

 Born July 4, 1944 to Fred and Eliza Hunt, the fourth of five children and the first girl. Gayle was raised on the family farm in the Hoadley area and moved to Rimbey to attend grade twelve where she graduated. Gayle married young and lived all over Alberta before moving to Taber in 1973 where she resided until her passing.

 Gayle worked as a seamstress for many years before becoming a sales consultant for Gramma’s Attic. Gayle was very talented with needle and thread, creating clothes for her young children, a wedding dress for her niece, embroidering beautiful pictures and knitting sweaters, toys and blankets for grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Gayle enjoyed flowers, gardening, camping with Dave, her home and all things pretty.

 Gayle will be privately remembered by her family and friends.
