Christy Storrs

1979 - 2023

Christy Mary Storrs (née Kinniburgh), beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, auntie, friend, teachers assistant, 4-H leader, union rep, environmental activist, slytherin and long list hater. Christy passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, April 24, 2023, after an evening of joy and laughter with her husband and mother at a Brent Butt comedy show.

A service to celebrate Christy’s life was held at the Royal Canadian Legion, 5205 – 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. with Life Celebrant Shelly Bassett officiating.

Besides her loving husband Kealey Storrs, Christy is survived by their children Callum and Holden Storrs; her mother Colleen, her father Gord and her in-laws Gary and Christine; her siblings, Zelda Gayle, Adam, Daniel, Susan, Jesse and their families; grandma Marie, sister-in-law Felicia and brothers-in-law Critter, Ron and their families. She will also be remembered by her extended family and by her chosen family, who are too numerous to list.

She was predeceased by her Grandpa Don, Granny Freda, Grandpa Jack and numerous other loved ones.

Christy was a loving and caring woman who believed change was possible, whether it be an individual who wants to become a better person, or an at-risk kid who wants to become a great adult. She believed we could make our planet a cleaner, healthier place. Human rights were first and foremost in her thoughts and actions. Any dog can be a good dog as long as they are shown love.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers, please vote NDP in the upcoming election to help support our education system and our unions and do something for the environment.

Brent Butt has yet to comment.

TL:DR (too long:didn’t read) Christy was sarcastic, caring and loved by all.
