Laurie Melanson

1962 - 2023

The family of the late Laurie David Melanson are saddened by the unexpected loss of their son, brother, uncle and nephew, who passed away in Medicine Hat on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the age of 61 years.

A private burial service was held at the Taber Memorial Garden on Monday, May 15, 2023.

Laurie is survived by his father Leland Herron of Osoyoos, British Columbia; brothers Jim Herron of The Philippines and Ken Herron of Grande Prairie; sister Tina Herron of Lethbridge and by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother Lorraine Peters, step father Jimmie Peters, grandparents Flo and Lloyd Filgas and by his sister Onie Herron.

Laurie was born in Calgary on January 8, 1962. He spent most of his life in Alberta. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed.
