Karen, known as Wong Shui King at birth, was born November 26, 1936 in Sui Chuen Hoy Shan, China, the youngest of four siblings. She was predeceased by two brothers and has one surviving brother in China.

Karen came to Canada from Hong Kong in January 1958, married Gordon How (who predeceased her in January 1994) on February 16, 1958 and received her Canadian citizenship in April 1966. Also, thank you to Saige Homecare for their services while she was resting in Calgary. A very special thank you to the staff and volunteers at the Rosedale Hospice, words cannot express the appreciation for your compassion, dedication and the love you bring daily to the Rosedale Hospice. The family are so grateful and cannot thank you enough for the care Karen received. God bless all.
